4. My darling Brother-in-law has always worn them...
and really, from my mind, looks the part in them...county blues singer.
I've always wondered, for his part, if the clothes made
the man...or if the man made the clothes.

7. my mom called them hogwashers
i still have some in the standard denim, altho i have no hogs to wash

as a child i somehow acquired a pink plaid pair of hogwashers, maybe it was the LSD in the water in those days

i have searched the internet and not been able to find a photo, i wish i still had them, just to prove how awful our clothes were in those days

i could probably find the granny dresses/granny glasses -- hell, even john lennon wore what we called granny glasses -- but the pink plaid hogwashers are lost to history -- maybe it's just as well

14. Who needs a banjo, if you got a guitar?

Actually, Eddie's probably the only one on the planet who ever made overalls look "cool"

9. My great-grandfather used to wear them all the time
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 12:06 PM by Rob H.
If he even owned a regular pair of pants, I never saw them. He was an Arkansas farmer and was buried in a pair of his "go to town" overalls--I don't think he would've wanted it any other way.

ETA: I used to wear overalls myself when I was a kid. They may not be the most fashionable things in the world but they're super-comfortable.

10. Long ago.
One pair bought in the late 70's. When they wore out, I never replaced them. But they were mighty comfortable.
