I've got a really long way to go. I've got the gray hair going, however, hubby and I both have low hairlines with no bald spots.
Cool car, we've got a MINI Cooper S, so check. They're not real expensive, but they're so damned cute and economical.
Travel, check, we've traveled outside of the state (and this isn't a socio-economic thing, just one of ignorance). We've traveled through many states and Canada. We try to avoid tourist traps, instead going for the "local thing". Speaking of travel, my spouse is from NOLA, whenever we go there we travel to the dark side, and it's still very bleak. My husband grew up in the areas that are just no longer there. Sad, to watch his face as he realizes all of his memories are gone except for old pictures, and realize that current residents were just wiped out, period.
Body shape, check, our Dr. isn't advising a change in eating habits (I probably weigh a good 30 lbs. lower than her, and she's at a healthy weight, but slightly taller).
Trophy wife, check, I'm such being 14 years younger to a man that already has full pension coming in, and eligible for another one in September. And he's got a great personality, and is handsome as all hell.
Career, check, been there done that, went to law school (and paid off the loans), passed bars, worked long hours in public interest areas, it was exciting while it lasted, but there's no need to work myself to death now. In fact, I just can't, because of my disability I'm on SSDI.
Most importantly, we realize we're so fortunate and that it's incumbent on us to give back to our community and those who haven't had the breaks we did. Going to my reunion, in my mind that's what I would be most proud of, yet I'm not the type to toot my horn.
