I'm against Republican marriage.
It's unnatural and disgusting and against my personal beliefs. Republicans are opposed to Christian charity and indulge in the sins of pride and wrath. It screws up their children who grow up with all that anger. I base these opinions on absolutely nothing, but I have faith that I'm right.

3. Human marriage undermines traditional swan marriage.
That's why swan divorce rates are so high.

6. I'm all for equal rights, but shouldn't we think of the children?
Two Republicans are supposed to raise a kid with good morals? I don't think so.

14. Republican marriage has destroyed the sanctity of my marriage
It will tear apart the fabric of society and open the door to a myriad of abominations, including comb-licking and singing like John Ashcroft. :scared:

16. I'm in a mixed-marriage.
However, in my defense we began on the same page but have wandered farther apart the older we get (he's become more independent the past few years).
It gives me great joy to watch all four of our children gang up on my husband, regularly. They were taught to think for themselves by both of us. I'd like to think they are taking the best from both and ignoring the rest.

Would we have still married if we had both started out this way? IMO probably not, but people need to realize that it's quite possible to change your ideals and beliefs over the course of a lifetime because of new experiences, crisis, maturation, etc. I'm sure he'll never be as progressive as myself, but hope to sway him over as far as possible just by living my life as a kind, thinking person.

17. Under certain conditions, no problem
If both parties are staunch Republicans and share an aversion to physical consumation
of the marriage (sort of à la Father Divine), then I'm fine with it. As long as there
in no chance of procreation. Mixed marriage is OK as long as the children get a genuine
chance to hear both points of view equally (I have this optimism that liberalism will
win out if the kids get a chance to choose freely).

27. Have no fear
I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, and may be distracted here in Sprout City
by about twelve languages being spoken around me, but I'm not so out of it as to have
missed THAT! LOL

(doesn't meant the rest of us can't have some fun, too, though, does it?)

28. In that case, I'm the victim of religious discrimination.
I believe the highest purpose of humanity is to play Aces of the Deep, a video game about WWII submarines. Sadly, this job infringes on my right to practice my religion by playing said game at the office.

20. What is good about Republican marriage
It takes them out of the dating pool. I hate inadvertently dating a Republican.

Also, a lot of kids grow up to do everything the exact opposite of their parents. If two Republicans reproduce, we may have a future DU'er.
