Brandishing his bare foot at me, my five year old just asked 'why do I have to have one big toe?'
My response? "How many do you want to have?"

He thought about it for a moment, then said "I guess one is okay."

I'm glad that we have opportunities to discuss the important things.

1. Reminds me of a
question my friends boy asked when about the same age, "Dad, what's the opposite of sideways?"
We're still trying to answer it! :)

3. I wonder if he wanted lots more of them or if one was too many.
If he wanted more, then there would probably be room in his shoes for just three of them.

11. Don't tell me how to arrange my children's feet, Mr. Perfect.
All the toes are generally pointing forward. But I guess that's just not good enough for you!

14. Look, as your son said, "one is okay"
but two is optimal. :P

6. You can't have two big toes at the same time; it would be anarchy
An army without leaders is like a foot without a big toe. And Sergeant Hulka isn't always gonna be here to be that big toe for us. I think that we owe a big round of applause to our newest, bestest buddy, and big toe... Sergeant Hulka.

Per foot, presumably.
