Post a place nicknamed "the ____ of ____"
for example, Waimea Canyon is often called "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific"

Idyllwild, California is sometimes called "The Yosemite of southern California" (although it does not - in my opinion - even begin to compare to Yosemite, the nickname sticks anyway)

what other places are called "the ____ (some other place) of ____ ?"

10. Yeah, although I would be tempted to call Bombay Beach, on the shores of the Salton Sea

the armpit of California. Extremely hot half the year, polluted water in the lake, decaying motor homes, no economy... what more could you ask for!

In a way these desert hellholes are kind of fun to visit, because they're so weird and awful.

No kidding. It's west of Pittsburgh. My husband worked there when we were first married and I'd see this sign when I crossed the bridge to pick him up from work.

Which is weird to some because a lot people think of it as a mountain city. But it's not.
