Wii Fit - Yeah or Nay
I've been thinking of buying a Wii and the Wii Fit. I do want to excercize more but I'm someone who prefers doing it at my house and looking for something different like the Fit.

Anyone use this - any recommendations? Please advise

1. I just got mine yesterday. My sister bought it for me.
So far, it seems like fun. For me, to begin with, it's going to be about getting my body moving more than a real workout. But it's clear that it offers good heart-thumping workout possibilities.

It has Aerobics, Yoga, Strength Training, and Balance modules.

It keeps track of your weight, BMI, and all the workouts you do, and gives you graphs & stuff.

From someone who has used it once, I'd recommend it. :)

2. Yea.
You burn a surprising amount of energy doing those exercises. And it's fun.

3. I use my granddaughter's/daughter's.
I really like it. I even did one of the running exercises, something I never thought I'd be able to do.

It's something that you can do for just a few minutes or for as long as you want, without leaving home, paying for gym membership or being on traditional exercise equipment and it's fun.

It keeps track of how often you use it as well as any weight change. I've lost 10 lbs since they got it.

4. Oh YEAH!!!
I love it! Bought it as a b-day gift for myself but am in constant competition with Debi Jr. to use it!

I named my Wii Fit trainer (his name is Todd) and we have a wonderful relationship (when he's not on me about how 'unbalanced' I am or that I didn't show up to exercise for two days in a row.....)

I say it's worth the $$ - especially if you have trouble or don't want to leave the house to exercise. Our Wii is set up to a separate TV in the living room so I can do my exercises while watching TV with the fam.

:hi:

8. Have fun creating your Mi
We had a lot of giggles when we were doing ours. My granddaughter kept insisting that my glasses had to be down on the end of my nose to create my real look.

7. I still play Wii Sports, but my interest in the Fit has waned...
I love the hula-hoops game, but the balancing games can be a chore due to my own balance mechanism being faulty -- I'm prone to falling over. :-S

11. Wii? Yes. Wii Fit? I dunno about that one.
Never thought I'd be interested in a video game system but the Wii has me hooked. Resistance is futile and all that.

13. We love our Wii and our Wii Fit
Got it for Consumerism Holiday.

I had started out using it a lot initially, but then I got sick for an extended period of time (pneumonia and out of control asthma).

I just started back on it last week and have done 30 minutes a day for 7 of the past 9 days.

You will also be able to enter in other workout stuff you do into the Fit Credits graph. This is helpful in tracking progress.

EA Games is coming out with a fitness game in May that will also work with the balance board. I made a down payment on that game so I can get it when it comes out.

Another game that is good if you are looking for exercise is Outdoor Challenge. It comes with its own mat and although it is somewhate juvenile as far as the graphics go, it is also fun and really gets you moving.

14. Good to see. I'd like to get one
I'm 42 and my metabolism has taken a nosedive (don't you hate that?). Even though I walk whenever I can, I'd like to be able to exercise even on bad weather days.

15. It is perfect for bad weather days
Although I was way too busy yesterday morning to work out, and by the time that I could, it was over 100 degrees outside and 88 in the house, so I skipped it.
