ATTN beer lovers of the lounge:
Anyone else really bothered by that Miller Lite commercial where they explain the "triple hops" brewing process and then they go on to say that hops aren't important? I for one am sickened by it. The simple fact is this:

HOPS MAKE BEER.

You cannot have beer without hops. And believe me I know. I tried a hopless beer in Belgium and it wasn't that great, but it still beat the hell out of that swill.

2. You like hops?
This is nu-cu-lar hops...

Ommegeddon is 8% ABV Belgian-style ale with a wild twist - a dose of Brettanomyces yeast and a blast of dry hopping. It’s a strong blonde ale with a sharp citrus flavor that, like the other Ommegang ales, has a dry finish. Its dryness and funkiness begat the name of Ommegeddon - for the time when the forces of light and dark battle for world dominion. It’s time for you to pick your side.

12. Oh how I wish I could drink beer at my job.
Probably would make the days go by faster!

Funny after spending time in Belgium and drinking all the good fuckin' ales over there, I've had a hard time adjusting to the crappy American swill like Coors and Budweiser. Thank god for breweries like Ommegang and Russian River (awesome CA brewery - famous for a beer called "Pliny The Elder") so we dont have to drink that crap.

8. I think I've had beer from that place but I'm not entirely sure.
I think I remember them being in Colorado last year for GABF. The whole state of Pennsylvania has some good fuckin' beers though.

13. I will drink anything Shiner.
My Grandfather and I would drive to Shiner, Texas to buy beer when I was a little kid.

He only wanted fresh brewed beer.

15. There's a couple local breweries where I live that make some tasty beers:
One is called Bootlegger's:

http://www.bootleggersbrewery.com

And the other one is called The Bruery:

http://www.thebruery.com

Bootlegger's brews more conventional ales (although they have one called "Black Phoenix" that is fuckin' amazing) and the Bruery brews more Belgian style ales, all of those are quite tasty as well.

17. You really expect Miller to know anything about Beer?
It's not like they make anything that remotely qualifies.

When I'm in a hoppy mood, I try to track down some of this......
