I'll hold off posting for another 30 minutes to see if anybody else can get it. I majored in Political Theory in college and wrote my honors thesis on electoral theory (That's a huge hint right there.) even though my independent concentration was Political Culture and Communication Theory. (I had to...my independent-concentration advisor left at the beginning of second semester my senior year.)

edit: It appears aA beat me to it. It's a great question because you have no idea how many of the kids in American Government as a major within large Politics departments have no idea who she is.

5. I majored in Poli Sci and I had no idea who she was till this morning

I thread in GD provoked my curiousity to find out how large a margin, percentage-wise, Nixon beat McGovern. So I looked up the 72 election on wikipedia and there she was tucked in the middle of the article.
