but both my parents were born there and I've spent oodles of time there. I do hear that downtown is very nice now. Terminal Tower is said to be much like DC's Union Station..worth a visit.
However, it should give you pause to know that I believe I'm related to a good third of the people who live there...:rofl:

On edit: they also have the BEST Jewish Deli's period. Better than even NY. Chocolate phosphates...YUMMM!!!

But the traffic isn't bad at all, compared to LA anyhow!

And there are a lot of cultural things, if you're into those...

Great museums, and a world-famous symphony orchestra.

Lots of beautiful parks...
