4. It didn't slow your system down or anything like that?
Notice more spyware, popups, etc?

23. I think it actually speeds your system up
since it has a smaller platform it takes less RAM.

6. I did. Wasn't bad at all, but I didn't use it much.
I liked the clean interface. I didn't like having to search from the Address line, but I didn't play with it enough to see if I could change that. There may have been other virtues and vices, but those are the ones I remember. When I'd get pissed at Microsoft I'd try it for a while, but ultimately I didn't use it, so I removed it. I'd rate it a good alternative to Explorer and Firefox, and some people might prefer it for the simple interface.

7. DANGER, DANGER WILL ROBINSON!
Read the fine print in the license agreement. They don't even hide it. Google Chrome collects your browsing data so they can sell it to advertisers. It is part of the original plan and they aren't ashamed of it.

10. Google does that, too. They retain your search information for 90 days.
No big surprise there.

12. See, see?
I'm paranoid about that shit. But then, don't we just risk going to any other site and filling out info that could be sold?

16. If you have a "bonus card" at a grocery store or wherever else, they already sell your information
One of my clients offered me a bunch of free cat treat samples Giant had sent her over a YEAR after her cat passed away. I explained that their database flagged her as a defector because she wasn't buying cat products anymore. She cried every time one showed up.

The "privacy" policy will state they don't "sell" the information, but if you look carefully, it says they WILL act as an agent on behalf of partners and other business interests - which simply means the invoice passes through Giant (or whatever store) on its way to the printing and mailing house.

Love it. It's sleek, quick and I've had very few issues.

9. I don't use it much because...
it's slower loading pages than Opera and has no features or other stuff to make me want to change. And Google is not known for giving a rat's ass about our safety or privacy, so I don't trust it.

I do use it on one site with such off-the-wall code that Opera can't make sense of it. While it may not load pages all that fast, it loads itself faster than Firefox or IE.

21. I've been using Chrome since it came out.
For me, it's faster than IE.

The only thing that annoys me is that I cannot copy and paste from Chrome into a Microsoft Works document without a lot of fiddling. However, the last time I tried to copy and paste from IE, it also required fiddling, so maybe it's not a Chrome problem.

22. I suspect it won't be very helpful in zapping all those Google Ads that litter every site I visit.
AND the added bonus of them spying on me?

I'll pass.

26. I like the speed and the lesser use of memory
but it's not likely to replace Firefox until I can add some useful plugins (i.e. AdBlockPlus, FlashGot, etc.)
