4. Thanks!!
When I was taught how to use the context feature of the mouse (tap on the right side; they make these critters look like a single button), I was 70% sold at that time.

I've just had it with Vista and I think Microsoft is the equal of two evils, albeit for different reasons. I just want something that works these days...

5. Just an FYI
any USB mouse will work, so get whatever mouse you want, and plug it in.

I use a Logitech wireless mouse, and all the buttons work and are programmable.

7. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Mac guy at BB told me the same; I love my G9 - ergodynamics being a key point for me...

As are the screens: The 24" models use H-IPS panels, which are said to be spectacular. That alone is worth the admission for an iMac...

I feel like a fool for bashing Apple as much as I had. Intel like everyone else, yes. Quality components that are above par? Most definitely. They write their own video drivers as well, and video is crucial to stability. I still have some gripes as, let's face it, I'm me, but they're certainly rather better than Microsoft these days...

I wouldn't buy a 20" model for graphic design, but these 24" units rock.

I have my Asus laptop that I've kitted with 8GB of RAM. Only a month old, but I'm not ditching it any time soon.

I might fiddle with Hackintosh for it, but it'll allow me to remain current with Windows needs.

I will be selling off my desktop components...

10. Very nice.
Enjoy the new baby. Do a Google search for problems people have had with the model you have. Occasionally, you get some bum component or something just craps out in there and in my experience just reading Mac forums and such have been more helpful than Apple tech support if you know what you're doing.

My all-in-one is much older and a PC but I love it just the same:

I'm about to delete Kubuntu Feisty Fawn from my partition and install Kubuntu Jaunty Jackalope on the drive my baby shares with Windows XP.

All hail all-in-ones! :)

No Adobe support, though... :(

All-in-ones are growing on me too.

13. Thanks! Especially after finding out some truths on the hardware...
coupled with some recent problems with Vistabloat...

Hell, I'll even pay for software license transfer for my Adobe apps... :)
