The weather here is beyond awesome! Except for
these DAMNED MOSQUITOES!!!!!! It is probably 80ish right now. So lovely to be outside except for the pterodactyls feeding off of my precious blood.

1. Pretty nice here too.
And I did notice the first mosquito. But the hummers have showed up and they are beautiful.

2. I haven't seen any of those yet. They are probably here, but they
can be elusive.

3. Ouch!
I just put some stuff in stagnant pond at work that is supposed to kill the little suckers...Supposed to be toxic only the blood thirsty. Weather is cooler now and sunny. Yippee. Might go up into the foothills to a last minute view of the wildflowers. It will be the last of them for this spring.
:hi:

5. Yeah but it is 40 degrees! Now it has dropped a little. Probably
75ish. So nice to sit outside if it weren't for those vampire bugs!

6. mosquitoes have gotten bad around here. Less habitat for bats, birds who eat them
and development in marshy areas in close proximity to wetlands.

9. She loves to be outside. She has fair skin, so we have to be careful.
I guess my Irish blood came out in her. Reddish hair, fair skin. I have lots of Native American in me too. I, for one, tan so easily. I just don't burn in the sun very often. But I can tell she will. We are going to pull out a pool like thing this weekend. It is an inflatable thing that squirts a little bit of water. Not a kiddie pool but enough water for FUN for a baby. Can't wait to see how she responds to that. So, if I am careful about her skin (SUNSCREEN galore) and the mosquitoes, we will have lots of fun this weekend outside.

Of course, pics will be posted!!! :) She does have this precious bathing suit and all!

11. My niece had red hair when she was a baby. Then it turned blond.
My sister used to put her babies in a xtra xtra large size plastic bucket and fill it with a couple of inches of watere. Then she'd plop the baby in. I think she got the bucket at a hardware store and they were supposed to be used for carrying things (they had two rope handles on each side). Any way the water warmed up really fast on a hot day and if the baby makes a mess in the water just empty it, rinse it out and start again.

8. It was the first really nice warm day here in FOREVER!
Tomorrow is going to be even warmer...and it's Saturday...AND I'm not working!

I need something fun to do with the kidlets and get me out of the house.

10. Enjoy! I am trying to be outside as much as possible before the
unbearable heat hits. I figure I have a few more weeks before it starts getting downright uncomfortable.

12. Truly nice day here, as well...
The kind of sunset where the wind feels so good against your skin, you want it to last forever!

Try Avon's "skin so soft"

13. "SOS" works wonders against mosquitoes and isn't all
stinky. I am from the delta where the mosquitoes really are like vultures. Must be the MS river! I can't believe I even complain about them now. They are so mild here in comparison. But they still suck.
