I am mostly a football and tennis fan, but enjoy playing baseball the most. I was a LA Dodgers fan until I lost interest in my twenties, but I will never forget watching the Red Sox come back against the Yankees and then win the 2004 World Series. Made me love the game all over again.

Awesome.

(Upon reflection, it was probably those Dodger-Yankee World Series in the 1970s that made it so pleasurable to see the Red Sox triumph. Plus the drama of how they did it. But still I am a fan from the west coast.)

count the Yankees out, that is, because it seems that every year I do...they bite me on the ass. It's going to be a tough turnaround for them if something doesn't start to go right for them in pitching soon though.

I thought that was the area they improved on the most in the offseason, but they've been getting slapped silly so far. The Sox averaged 8.5 runs a game in that series, and the Yanks had just given up 24 the week before. The team ERA must be higher than Cheech and Chong.
