As a matter of fact, I do spend a good bit of time in libraries and certainly did not mean to disrespect or negatively stereotype librarians.

but there are still a lot of silly stereotypes about libraries being places where stern elderly women tell people to shush.

In my experience, that's completely different from the reality in today's libraries.

Most libraries have a lot of noise and activity, and librarians themselves vary widely.
