:) 50% pay cut, so I'll have to be self-employed to make up the difference. (Second job, anyone?) But it's okay. At least I'll have the money to pay the rent and utilities.

7. It's a standard pre-employment thing in accounting
I have 2 parking tickets. :) I've had them run at least 6 times.

17. Isn't one of the big background-checking companies
the one that was involved with all the voting problems in Florida in 2000 - flagging names because they were African American and were close to a felon's name? Forgot their name, but I know they're not infallible.

So glad to hear that. Any chance they'll boost your pay once you get in there and they find out how awesome you are?:)

8. They're out-sourcing their income tax work and payroll
both I'm qualified to do. They've expressed an interest in bringing both back in-house. :)

I did the nearly 50% pay cut a few years back. It sucks, but we adapt, and it's good to be working. Hope all goes well with the new job!

Sorry about the pay cut, but you can still continue to look for a better paying job while you have this one, no?

21. That 50% pay cut doesn't sound so good.
:( I'm glad you have a job, but I hope you're keeping search going for something better. Either that, or I hope you'll be seriously developing your self-employment so that you can eventually work for yourself. Does it at least come with good benefits? :loveya:
