3. I'm more surprised Ozzy is still alive, much less coherent.

4. If Keith Richards is still alive, why not Ozzy?
two living miracles.

8. Keith Richards never snorted a line of ants.
He may have been completely fucked up during the Stones' prime, but he's got nothing on Ozzy when it comes to doing every kind of drug in the book.

16. I think that was an urban legend.
In fact I even remember him completely debunking it in a recent interview.

I may be the only person alive who liked Sabbath better with Dio. :D

10. I'll have to grab the issue and read the rest.
That's not surprising to read what's there though. There's been stories about Ozzy being a pain for years.

13. You're not.
I was never an Ozzy fan at all; he's just not that good a singer at all. Dio is countless times better. The songs during his era were, too, but since most fans can't get past simple riffs like those in "Iron Man," words like mine are considered sacrilege.

19. No, you're not.
Ooops, did I say that out loud?!? :hide:

Well, I have to admit, my two all-time favorite Sabbath albums are Ozzy-vintage (Vol. 4 and Sabotage), but DAMN, "Sign of the Southern Cross" easily kicks any ass presented to it.

I said you weren't the only Dio-era-Sabbath defender.

NOW, however, I'm starting to think..... :)

21. Nope.
Dio > Ozzy.

Please don't tell my son I said that. Though in my son's defense, he and Ozzy are the same mental age, so I can see why he's a fan.

15. Saw him last year.
And at age 66 he is still kicking the shit out of most singers a third his age. Dio rules.

18. I want to see H&H live really badly at some point.
Of course every time they come here they play the venue from hell (Blockbuster/Hyundai/whatever corporate bullshit sponsor Devore Pavilion), and I will flat-out refuse to go there.

7. I haven't liked what I've heard....
...and I say this as someone who prefers Dio era Sabbath to Ozzy era Sabbath. And who counts their 2 original studio albums with him among the best metal albums of all time.

What I've heard of the album (3-4 songs) has left me cold.

With Dio they were much better at uptempo songs than they were with Ozzy, and what I heard didn't seem to have that.

And it sounds pretty good. I haven't heard much else yet but I'm looking forward to it. Cool cover art though.

26. This is the WORST Dio/Sabbath album ever. There is not even 1
song that stands out among this collection of painfully molasses slow, gloomy, listless songs. Not one "Neon Night", or "Turn Up The Night" fast type of song. Were there any guitar solos because nothing stood out. As a Dio fan, this is not only disappointing but dreadful to listen to. I had to force myself to finish listening to the end.

Where was the fucking hard rock? Maybe 60 is too old for these guys because they couldn't even hit the speed limit. I'm deleting for slow & old.
