DO NOT PEEL AWAY FROM THE STOPLIGHT THE SECOND IT TURNS GREEN...
You never know if some other idiot is attempting to beat the light, or blatantly running the red...

yes, I saw a horrific crash today while driving around town trying to find some Bar Keepers Friend, which by the way works awesomely!

The person in the lane to my right was revving their engine waiting for the green light and the second it turned green, gunned the engine to go and was hit broadside by another person that was speeding through the red light, it was horrific, two people were hauled to the hospital in ambulances and two cars are complete losses.

Moral of the story, look before tearing off, EVEN IF you have the green light.

I have no idea what condition the drivers are in, but I am sure it is not good.

1. My dear Pierre.Suave...
Good advice...

I generally look...

I remember once when I did look, and lo and behold, a car roared through the red light against him, and if I hadn't looked...

Well, I might not be here now.

And one time I did take off with my green light, and was hit on the left side by someone running his red light...

I wasn't injured, but my car was.

It was scary.

:hi:

2. This is why New Yorkers and Massatochu..chu... oh whatever...
should never be on the road at the same time.

Massholes run red lights. New Yorkers jump green lights.

The combination is deadly.

5. I assume some douche is going to run every single light I encounter.
Because at least 50% of the time (no exaggeration in Portland Maine) some moron does.
