Just follow the directions on the display!

Oh, wait - first, READ the directions on the display, then do what the display says.

1. you should help them
Some of them can be a bitch to get out, though.

2. I wasn't allowed to help.

She said, "no, that's okay, I got it." I stood and watched. A single sheet was hung up in the side of the copier. Not crunched. This person opened every single paper drawer and the other side of the machine.

But I agree - they can be a real bitch. Especially if you tear the paper while pulling it out. Ouch.

3. I don't mind helping someone clear it
I just hate it when it jams and the person walks away w/o telling anyone.

If the jam sits there long enough, the recovery time gets long too, and when you're in a hurry, it sucks to have to clear the jam and then have to wait for the machine to warm up.

4. Apparently it's easier than replacing the water cooler bottle, since it
sounds like this person at least tried... ;)
