The color went on my tv.... this kinda sucks

I don't go out that much. I very much like to just be at home, and I like to watch sports, Food Network, and Olbermann....

Last night, during the press conference, the President went red (I imagine the freepers would love what they would think is the symbolism in that).

The whole color thing is just messed up. What should be white is light blue, and it's pretty distracting.

The TV was more than 12 years old.

I have no money for a new TV..... and even if I did, the new TVs are all shaped different, and I would probably have to buy a new TV stand/entertainment center too.

I guess I'll be watching it as it is for a while.

1. Did you try percussive maintenance?

I've had two different computer monitors that would just freak out on me and both of them responded well to a good whap upside the head. I mostly use LCD monitors now, and I don't think they would respond so well to that sort of maintenance.

2. Get a free TV. Go to Craig's List...there'll be dozens of them.

Nobody needs to be without a TV today. Good ones are readily available for $0.00.

Everything turned blue for a while, then after a few weeks, it just straightened up, all by itself :shrug:

WHich is kind of a drag, but may be considered if other options don't work out.
