My wife picked up a disgusting parasite--please advise!
Here's a picture of the horrible thing:

She wants to bring it into the house right this very second god dammit, and she has my sons conspiring against me on it.

For all I know, it's patient zero in the whole swine flu thing, so at the very least we should take it in for routine maintenance.

Somebody help me talk some sense into her---please, before it's too late!

7. Right now, I refer to it as 'your shameless whore'
Every time it comes around for a feeding, it plops its cat ass right in front of the door and turns on the pathetic.

We're in talks to come up with a more family-friendly appellation.

9. One of our beasts passed away in November
On election day, as a matter of fact. This one will be a successor to that ridiculous orange paperweight.

The other cat is kind of weird. It doesn't like the kids. Or us. Or itself, as far as I can tell.

11. Sleeping arrangements have been as follows:
The cats sleep next to my wife but on top of the covers, so that I'm afforded a six inch strip of sheet running the length of the bed. If I balance just right, I can cover part of my ass with it as I slumber.

13. The universe sent this thing to bedevil my existence
I must confess that I have a soft spot for orange cats.

At the moment, as my wife has hastened to remind me, the cat is curled up in a corner of porch trying to stay dry and warm on this cold and rainy day.

66. The cleanliness is my doing. I have severe allergies to dust and dander,
so I have two options: keep on top of the cleaning and de-furring of surfaces, or have no fuzzies. Since Option 2 is not an option, I went the neat-freak route (and the hardwood floors route).

don't let it in the bed. Some local ones have been known to never leave. This is especially important if you have a waterbed (yes, they love waterbeds) or pillow top mattress. If this is unavoidable, redecorate your room to match the parasite's furry parts. Otherwise, you will be doing laundry daily. :P
