Birthmarks? Who has 'em?
http://www.divinecaroline.com/article/22111/73466-holy-mole-y--bare-naked-birthmarks

Personally, I was born with 2: A red "stork bite" on my forehead (that disappeared quickly), and a light one on my ankle.

2. My dear SacredCow!
I have one...a port wine stain on my left arm, on the inside. It looks rather like a cocker spaniel, complete with head, long ears, front and hind legs and bushy rump and tail!

It does change color depending on what my skin temperature is. When my arm is cool or cold, my birth mark is purple. When my arm is warm, my birth mark is pink.

I'll show you, if you like, at BeachBaby's meetup!

:hi:

3. Oh, you're coming cross-country?
How wonderful!

I'm about 80% sure I'll make it- I still have to shop for flights and check for some conflicts.

13. Remember those "mood rings" in the 70s? Guess you never needed one!

4. I have some.
One large (dime-sized) flat, dark-brown mole type birthmark on my right upper rear end, plus an assorted scattering of other, smaller moles. I am very fair-skinned, so my tendency to have moles means that I largely stay out of the sun, for fear of getting skin cancer.

5. I have an "anti"-birth mark
It's a spot about the size of the palm of my hand to the right of my sternum where there's no pigment at all--it's snow white and it never tans. I've never met anyone else with a birthmark like it.

7. What does a sunless tanner do to it?
It should darken, since those are just dyes?

I ask, because my s/o has some spots (not birthmarks) where the pigmentation has diminished.

9. Unfortunately, I've never tried a sunless tanner on it
I would imagine that it would work since it's just an area where there's no melanin in the skin. It's possible I might have to use more of it there since it'd be going over a white "base," so to speak.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. :(

14. I have a dime-sized one of those in the middle of my back.
I didn't even know it was there until I was an adult. Nobody had bothered to inform me. Strange, what?

8. I have a birth mark shaped like South America on the top of my right foot.
It's lighter than it was when I was a child, but it's still there.

10. Had a light one on my chest.
But it faded away sometime in the last 20 years. I guess I've been unborn.

12. Mine was quite dark, behind my knee, but vanished some time after age 18
Behind my knee? Inside my knee? Both of these sound pretty gross. On the inner part of the bendy place on my leg? Got it!:)

15. A small (1/4") bald spot on my head.
Fortunately I have (for now) enough hair to cover it up.

I also have some kind of faint marking on my forehead. Sorta looks like some sixes...
