A wildfire burning northwest of Bisbee has forced the closure of
Arizona 80, officials said.

The Mule Fire started today at about 11:30 a.m. and has grown to
about 150 acres, a release from the Arizona State Forestry Division said.

2. thought I smelled something
figures I would actually find out about it on DU!

I was doing some fence work a couple of days ago and smelled smoke for hours. Got up on a hill and couldn't see anything. Went to Benson the next day and the median had burned for less than 1/8 of a mile. I would have sworn hundreds of acres by the smell!

7. eh, they will probably have it out tonight if they don't already
there is soome rugged hills around Bisbee (the Mule Mountains - duh) but I think this is in the flats before the intersection to Sierra Vista. Is Panadero around DU today - he probably knows more. Maybe he can even see it. 150 acres is pretty small though.
