I shot this photo this afternoon as a spoof of the classic painting American Gothic.

These are my neighbors posed in front of an old house in town. The constantly changing light (due to clouds passing over) gave me fits, but with four strobes firing I was finally able to overcome (most of) the shadows and get the job done.

You probably look great when you have the flu. Some people are like that. I think you're one of them.

These are the only digital photos I have. I got a cheap $16 webcam to take pictures of my dog and cats so I could email them. It didn't work out to well. It didn't have near the range or cord length to get my dog, and 2 of the cats don't hang near enough to the computer. Anyway, this is what I have. It's our internet debut. They were taken in the spring of '05.

The ever loyal Theodore. When I come home and open the car door, he's right there. It's been a ritual for almost 10 years now. He's always there when I wake up in bed too.


This is Peanut. If anything is happening, he shows up. He's a fun cat and my dog's best bud. I found him one night when I came home from work and heard this tiny squealing. I didn't know what or where it was until I finally looked under the hood my pick-up. There was this palm-sized kitten crouched in a space under the battery in the engine compartment. He'd been there for 35 miles and 45 minutes. I don't know if he shredded his vocal cords that night, but to this day his meow barely audible.


This is me. I hang around here a good bit.


Cashew. The coolest and most affectionate cat I ever had. I know this is getting wordy but I have to tell how I found him. One night going to the store I saw some eyes flash by the side of the road and I saw a lump where I saw the eyes. I turned around and went back hoping it wasn't some wounded and dying animal. It was a dead mother cat and her dead kitten on the shoulder of the road. It was a busy road(55mph), a 3ft shoulder to the guardrails and then a steep bank with a very thick woods at the bottom. The eyes belonged to a little orange furball that disappeared down the bank as soon as I got near.
I'll shorten this up and just say I made several trips back there over the next couple days trying to catch this little guy. On the last night, I was walking up to the spot, cars zooming by, and I could see he was there. I must have been a pretty weird sight to the drivers because it was late and I was walking r-e-a-l slow and staring at this spot straight ahead. I was kind of amazed that he hadn't noticed me and ran, but when I got close enough I could see he was fast asleep at his dead mothers breast(talk about pitiful and pathetic!). I grabbed him by the scruff and he cried and howled, it's a wonder his heart didn't stop but I was relieved. That same night he was eating, drinking, using the litter box and playing. He was a constant companion from then on. R.I.P Cashew

Actually, I'm not a Daisy. that's me in the Avatar. That was during my sweetness and light period.

That isn't me, it is a representation of me standing behind some sanded plexiglas and a couple filters in GIMP.

It's a picture of a daisy. It isn't a real daisy, just a bunch of zeros and ones arranged in such a way to appear like a daisy. Kind of like my Avatar even though it doesn't look much like a daisy. Of course in some parallel universe I would look like a daisy. Who's to say.
