1. You should put a warning on this picture!
I swear some night the Bermuda grass is going to come in my room and strangle me! :scared:

3. yeah - I used to try to fight it but then I applied my working knowlege of horticulture:
try to kill off some plant and it will thrive, start watering and taking care of a plant like you want it and it will die sure as shit. Mostly I ignore the bermuda until it gets about that big then I put a couple horses in the yard.

I used to rant about lawns in Phx and Tucson, but I've seen escaped patches of it here and there and I have to say it sure holds the soil in place. And here in theyard at least, the pocket gophers just love it!

6. Hey! You discovered my secret to gardening!
I don't have horses to help though. Then again, I haven't ignored anything long enough to thrive to the point where a horse was needed. I expect to need a horse in a few more years though. :D

9. works really good for houseplants too!
that scale infested poinsettia is never going to die, but the beautiful euphorbia is going to fall off the window sill, break and be totaled.

7. This is similar to my friend's strategy:
Water it and take care of it, then NUKE THE SHIT OUT OF IT WITH ROUND-UP. :hide:

I got wysteria galore and triffids. I wish I knew the names of these awful things. They grow 2 feet a week...in all directions; up, out, down, sideways, runners, corms, roots to China and back then to hell and back, and they...follow...you. Wherever you go in they yard, they turn toward you. I think they are plotting my demise. The wysteria are in cahoots with them. It's a conspiracy I tell ya...a conspiracy.

You DO know the Venus Fly Trap comes from the Carolinas too, don't you? We are home to extra terrestrial carnivorous alien plants that attack you at a moment's notice. :P

8. more like having a game of lets wrestle in the pumpkin vine
and see how many stems and leaves we can break. It's a volunteer from a Halloween carcass so who knows what kind of fruit it is going to throw.

They were volunteers from the mulch pile.
