I'm about to scarf down some freshly picked green beans...
Edited on Sun Jun-07-09 10:37 PM by Catshrink
I know they're fresh, because I picked them myself from my neighbor's yard. Mine didn't grow for some reason but his did -- I gave him the left over seeds. OMG they are delicious! Green beans have always been my favorite vegetable.

edited to differentiate between eating and puking.

1. We had a neighbor who used to give us green beans from his garden.
They are delicious, we would eat them raw.

2. There are few things as awesome
tomatoes of course. I didn't try them this year. I need to get some sunshades made -- that's why his turned out so well.

3. Aren't you supposed to scarf them DOWN?
I thinking scarfing up is puking.

6. I never liked them when I was growing up.
Then I tasted freshly picked. Hell, I picked 'em. :) Changed my mind in a hurry.

8. I've always liked them...
my friends' parents always thought I was weird because I always ate my vegetables. Mom trained us well.

9. yum
so far the only thing I've had from the "garden" was parsley, cilantro, basil, and oregano. Oh and the three bunches of lettuce that volunteered from seeds from last year's bolted plants.

10. I have a huge overgrown catnip plant
that bolted -- and now I have little catnip plants here and there throughout the yard. I need to tear out the big one and start it over. The cats do love the fresh leaves.
