After 9 1/2 years I finally agreed to get married.

So my girlfriend has brought up the subject of us getting married for several years now. My standard excuse, after my anxiety attack goes away has alway been it is not legal for us to be married in NC. Her solution to this is we could move to a state where it was legal. After several months of research we have decided to move to CT. We are getting married in november on our 10th anniversary.

I lived in NC for 17 years, and would move back in a heartbeat if they had marriage equality. They probably will by retirement time.

But I can understand how you guys would forget. That's one of the reasons we are doing it on our anniversary. That way I won't get the dates mixed up. After almost 10 years I still get Deb's and one of my brothers birthday mixed up.

Our first "date" (if you could call it that---dropping acid) was in 1967. We broke up but remained friends til 1975 when we re-established our "love (sex) interest and then we got legally hitched in 2000 or 2001(?)...now I have to find the marriage certificate (unless it got tossed in the many moves we've made over the years)
