I am back from the cabin

Next time, I get to pick watch we watch at night. Three nights of nascar and foxnews was almost too much to bear.We got a lot of stuff done though. Got the water turned on,picked up, my aunt washed the dishes that have been accumulating since april.

The humming birds were AMAZING! I haven't seen hummers that thick in over 20 years. I guess the wet weather helped that.

Our goal for this cabin is for it to be totally self sufficient for all four seasons.We use solar (generator for back up)and last month we dug a well. We always had running water tapped from a spring but it would freeze over the winter. Now with the well, we can go up in mid Janurary and have running water. We have a propane tank that we have to fill every other year or so that runs the gaslights and stove. But there are so many dead trees that need to be weeded out that we can just burn wood if we remember our ax and chainsaw.

Now, I am headed to Boulder to see Jason in fifteen minutes. His computer broke down last week so I won't be online tonight. See you all tomorrow!!!

3. Jason's computer is working ok

just has a nasty case of malware and his computer is too slow to run diagnostics.I told him he should toss it into the dumpster..lol

Probably why it running so slow. Does he have a virus scan?

6. He does..but it's only setup for virus'

spyware and malware slip by un-detected. My computer at home catches all hostile activity including spyware, and it works great!!

Roon, your friend needs your help. If he has MS Windows and it is a licensed copy he can do an update.

8. He splits his time between his Boulder home and his Littleton home

I told him if he's not going to buy a new computer for his Boulder home, he should at least bring his good computer up here. He only is in Littleton on Week-ends.

4. There are so many freepers in my family

I just avoid discussing politics with them. Lately they have been humbled after the election of obama so they haven't had much to say. Better for me..
