MSNBC/Rice/SpamalotLOS ANGELES - In a surprise announcement, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has announced that she will be joining the Los Angeles cast of the Monty Python musical production "Spamalot."
Ms. Rice will assume the role of "Lady Of The Lake," which was vacated by current cast member Merle Dandridge.
The former Secretary drew ire from the pubic when it was revealed that she indulged in shoe shopping and a performance of the musical during the worst moments of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in in 1005. When asked about the incident, Ms. Rice replied "I feel that this is my way of giving back. If I can put a smile on the faces of those poor innocent people, I feel that I will have started the healing."
When reminded of the fact that Hurricane Katrina took place 3000 miles away on the Atlantic Gulf Coast, not Los Angeles, Ms. Rice replied "People are people, wherever you go. TA!"
