1. THANK YOU so much for posting this. I have been looking for a quality version for a long time.
This is ABBA's best song in my opinion. Lame lyrics but unbelievable sound. It was a huge hit in gay discos in 1981 and 1982, but since then is hardly ever heard at all. It was not included in "Mamma Mia!" much to the shame of that show's producers, I would say. I bought the original vinyl LP of this when it came out, and I also bought the original 45 of this. I still have both. You really have to hear this in full volume on a home stereo with big speakers. It is magnificent at full volume. I do not have any version of it on my computer, so I thank you for posting this.

2. And thank you for sharing that story!
I love reading these sorts of stories...

It's one of my favorite songs of theirs too... the lyrics aren't the worst I've heard and at least they're not singing about killing cops... :)

3. Here's another story.
My friend at that time Mark Barnes was obsessed with this song and when I bought the 45 for myself, I bought another copy for him. I gave it to him at his birthday party on June 3, 1982, and he started shaking and dropped it in his lap, he was so excited to have a recording of it. I remarked that I had never heard it on the radio and he said "It's too good to play!" At that time it seemed like ABBA had fallen out of favor in the U.S., that they were considered passé relics of the 1970s. It wasn't until the 1990s, and partially through the use of their music in films like "My Best Friend's Wedding" and "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" that they came back into fashion, eventually resulting in "Mamma Mia!" and then the movie of that. But they didn't include "The Visitors" in any of those films, so that song and album is still ignored even today!
