I've had the same feelings about dreams I've had. There was something that happened in a dream a few weeks ago and it was so real that it left a permanent impression, like a real memory. It was real enough to make me look up things like "mutual dreaming and "astral travel" on Google. The one thing that stood out was that supposedly (not saying I believe this) dreams are easily forgotten and astral travel is remembered clearly. I wonder if it is possible to tap into another person's unconscious in this way?
I've had the ability to send and receive messages at times in my life. Strong intuition perhaps? I've zero psychic ability and don't even believe in precognition, but aside from this, there seems to be something to mind-to-mind contact. Recently, I was trying to remember the name of someone who was a friend in high school, someone I hadn't thought about in over 30 years, but within 10 minutes of him coming into my mind, my sister called to tell me that she'd just read in the paper that his mother had died. The odds of this happening are just too great to be coincidence, especially when it happens on a regular basis.
Dreams may make a person more open to this kind of communication, if it does indeed exist, but I wouldn't worry about it being "real" or hold any kind of grudge based on the dream. There simply isn't enough known about these kinds of things to assume any real intent on the part of anyone in your dreams.
It may just take time to get over it, just like with real memories. You can't blame anyone for your dreams, but you also can't deny how they the dreams make you feel.
