Noel Gallagher Quits Oasis Over Brother Liam

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/28/noel-gallagher-quits-oasi_0_n_271791.html

LONDON — Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher says he's leaving the British pop band because he can't work "a day longer" with his brother Liam.

A statement from Gallagher on the band's Web site says he's leaving the group "with some sadness and great relief."

The band were due to play a festival in Paris Friday but didn't take the stage. A message flashed to the crowd said "as a result of an altercation within the band, the Oasis gig has been canceled."

Gallagher's statement sends "apologies to all the people who bought tickets" for the band's remaining shows in France, Italy, and Germany.

Oasis was one of the biggest British bands of the 1990s, with hits like "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova."

Morning Glory - Oasis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr7MSSPNH9o

All your dreams are made
When you're chained to (your) mirror with (your) razor blade
Today's the day that all the world will see
Another sunny afternoon
(I'm) walking to the sound of your favorite tune
Tomorrow never knows what it doesn't know too soon

Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to wake up wake up
Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to rest your mind
You know you should so I guess you might as well

What's the story morning glory
Well
(you) need a little time to wake up
Wake up well
What's the story morning glory
Well
Need a little time to wake up
Wake up

(Cos) all your dreams are made
Now you're chained to the mirror with your razor blade
Today's the day that all the world will see
(It's) another sunny afternoon
Yeah I'm walking to the sound of my favorite tune
Tomorrow doesn't know what it doesn't know too soon

Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to rest your mind
You know you should so I guess that you might as well

What's the story morning glory
Well
Need a little time to wake up, wake up
Well
What's the story morning glory
Well

Need a little time to wake up, wake up
Well
What's the story morning glory
Well
Need a little time to wake up, wake up
Well
What's the story morning glory
Well ?

8. I'm not an Oasis basher; I just think they are nowhere near the Beatles

Their egos could bring them together yet again - we'll see.

10. Their egos or their bank accounts...or both
I like a few of their songs, with "Acquiesce" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzWrdC_zosI) being a favorite.

11. Of all their tunes, "Acquiesce" is your favorite?
A quirky choice.

14. I hear ya...
...I guess it's the chorus, just a hook-y kind of pandering toward radio play. It sounds like a song written with the deliberate intent of getting on the radio. Of course, so do a lot of their other songs.

16. Yeah, Ray and Dave Davies said that all the time...
Albeit, they're talking a Kinks reunion now. Dave is still recovering from a bad stroke, though, so there's nothing firm planned.

So see, Noel and Liam??? Life's too short to be Davies Brothers 2.0! Dave had a stroke because of being on every drug under the sun all thru his 20s and 30s--geez, I guess the Gallagher brothers have nothing to worry about then, right???

:sarcasm:
