1. I don't mind

OK, I'm jealous and I don't like it when they kiss each other in front of the cash register at the groceries store (what are they want to prove by that????? - I get it, he is your bf/husband ... I don't want him) but mainly I don't mind. Heck, if I were in a relationship I would do it too (except the kissing in the stores).

I draw the line when they start eating each other. I don't need to see that or more.

this tv show did an experiment with PDA..they set up hidden cameras in a restaurant and had a straight couple making out..there were looks and laughter..but no one reacted much.

Then they showed two gay guys making out and someone called 911 to report them and the cops arrived.

* general public discourse and common courtesy. In private, no limits. In public, thinking of others isn't a bad thing.
* might incite voyeurism
* anybody looking in return might get the couple to whine "Why are you looking?" Sorry, in public, courtesy - and the lack thereof - works both ways. Don't encourage people to look, or at least think about not doing so beforehand.
* Every stereotype about slutty behavior will be thought of by just about everybody
* I don't care if the people are involved are of opposite genders, same genders, a man with a sheep, or two women with a herd of goats.
* we're not baboons in the zoo, chasing each other with obvious erections, just so everyone looking can get a free giggle
* Sex is special and private. That was why somebody came up with the notion of keeping it in private.

The reasons transcend the gamut.

But the most important one is: If people do it in public, they have NO right to give any foul looks if people stare in return. (I speak more from observation than from experience). People WILL stare.
