A long way I know, but this house was only 68k and it would have been over 100k in Austin.

I drive the first 2 to the train station. The train takes me 22 miles to the Loop. I then walk the last mile. I can do it in about 50 minutes, but 34 minutes are on the train and I can get my reading done.

14. Sounds like my drive.
But hopefully it is fast driving for you. Even though I have 60 miles two times a day to drive, there are only two stoplights and there is never ever traffic on my stretch of the interstate.

20. Less than 6 kilometers each way.
That's on a bike. Though plowing headwinds home it feels a lot further some days.

At least I have nice views of the mountains in both directions when the weather is clear. (Pikes Peak and the Rampart Range going to work, the Sangre De Cristo Range and the Spanish Peaks coming home.)

I live in Orange (TX), go to college in Beaumont. I hate being that wasteful of gasoline, but this is my last semester here (woo hoo!) so I should be in a more environmentally-friendly commute soon enough.
