Anyone here ever been stalked by a political groupie?

I was, in late 2004/early 2005. I worked on the Kerry campaign, organizing a voter reg table. One of the table volunteers developed a HUGE crush on me. Stalked me via e-mail and dropping gifts by my worksite for a couple months. No one took it seriously when I complained.

Anyone else have a similar story?

1. Yes. It happens. There are certain obsessive/compulsive

people, and for some reason, just here or there, they fixate on another person, and attach themselves.
Like a barnacle, or something. Believe me, it's nothing personal. But crazy and dangerous.

I had a full-blown stalker when I was in student government, a page got a crush on me when I worked in the legislature and when I worked for a congressman, there always seemed to be a volunteer determined to get close to the congressman or anyone who worked for him.

Believe me when I say that I don't think it was me they were attracted to but some weird proximity to power thing. The congressman took advantage of this more times than I would like to remember. He had a woman in just about every town in his district.
