Looking for new ISP (boo to MSN, AOL) - Any w/ free trial?
Hey...

I have had it with AOL and MSN for internet providers. (spam has is over the top!)

Want to cancel a.s.a.p.

Can anyone recommend a low-cost internet service?

Is netzero and juno just too awful to try?

Would love to get a service that gives a free month or two........if possible

Thanks for your help guys!

1. What about...
An ISP in your area? Support the local guys. They are oft-times quite good.

2. check out DSL
if you can get yahoo/sbcglobal, they had a promotion for $29.99 per month. i've had DSL for two years at $49.99 per month, so the price break is most welcome :D

$9.95 per month for life

$8.75 per month for two months, then $12.95

If you can't handle either, let me know...

5. Juno has free web (10 hrs/mo.)
http://www.juno.com
I used their free service for a long time but finally got sick of the permanent ad window and getting booted off. Now I pay 9.95/mo (dialup) and it works fine.

6. When I was moaning about Earthlink, many NetZero users checked in
and spoke highly of it. Earthlink actually does a pretty good job against spam. My problem with them has been poor connections, although this has been improving lately, and may be the local phone company's fault rather than Earthlink's anyway. On the other hand, I understood that new Earthlink subscribers are forced to accept all kinds of bells and whistles of dubious usefulness, so you might need to ask somebody who has signed up with them in the last year or so before considering Earthlink.

If you're getting spammed a lot, it's good to have AdAware, although no doubt you know this already. Also, if your email address is on any personal webpages, stick nospam in the middle along with a note to human visitors telling them to take nospam out of the address in order to contact you. Defeats the evil spambots.

10. I got Mfire for my Mom and she likes it.
It's cheap, there's no banners and there's 24/7 human customer service. Plus, we haven't seen a whole lot of spam as a result. And, unlike NetZero, you can use your regular dialer, rather than a specific launch application.

11. Try Redjellyfish...
http://www.redjellyfish.com
http://www.redjellyfish.com/freetrial.html

They have a 1 month free trial period, and will soon offer DSL. But best of all, they're pro-environment and give every impression of supporting the democratic agenda.
