Tigger, the family dog, has passed. He was 15.
First my Aunt dies, then Grandma, and now Tigger. Rule of threes...completely illogical and just a trick of the mind, but nonetheless ringing true today.

Rest in peace sweet gentle giant.

1. My dear Taverner...
I'm so sorry to hear this...

He was a beautiful boy, to be sure.

Safe passage to him, and I hope that your sweet memories of living with him will sustain you in this time of grief...

It doesn't seem to matter, but even though they have good long lives, they always go too soon...

3. ((((((((((((Tavener)))))))))))
One of the hardest things in life is letting go of our pets. They give us so much and ask for so little in return. Petloss.com helps with some of the pain, at least it did for me.

8. I'm sorry.
What a handsome boy he was! Fifteen years is a really long life for a doggie of his size. You obviously took very good care of him. Hugs.

10. Tigger was GORGEOUS
Grieve not,
nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you.....
I loved you so --
'twas Heaven here with you.

13. He loved people and affection
I think he felt short changed as a large dog - he always wanted to climb into our laps

If you didn't pet him, he would start licking your hand

Here's him as a gawky teenager

16. He wasbig as a teen and oh so beautiful then too.
A perfectly darling face ...all that long white hair with that cute black nose. Just an absolute doll in every way.

It must be a huge loss to you.

26. I thought so... and I agree.
One of my best friends had a Samoyed when we were young. She was a female, so was smaller, but was such a beautiful dog, with the best temperament. My friend's family owned a summer camp on Lake Champlain where I spent six summers. Cammy belonged to all of us for the summer and loved each and every one of us. Thanks for such a great memory and I understand and share your deep loss. ;(
