I think Picard should have always referred to O'Brien as "the drunk" and other Irish slurs.

I think Picard should have always referred to O'Brien as "the drunk" and other Irish slurs.
Would have made TNG even funnier because of the juxtaposition of all his otherwise soapboxing about tolerance and inclusiveness and getting along.

1. And Picard is a bald-headed froggie.
Jean-Luc? Jean? That's such a girlie name! And he should have been banging Troi every chance he got instead of going to bed with a book every night!

What a wuss!

9. Wasn't Troi banging Riker?
I seem to recall she was banging Worf, as well.

13. She was doing everybody. Even Sulu!
He'd use his photon torpedo on the ladies once in a blue moon.

2. TNG desperately needed someone like Sawyer from "Lost"
A wise-ass with an offensive nickname for everyone.

8. STNG didn't deserve Sawyer. They needed to have Gilbert Gottfried on board.
So did this last movie about Trek 2.0

3. Isn't that what the phrase "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra" meant?
I remember watching that episode when Picard was complaining to that alien about O'Brien's drunkeness, and the alien was all like, "Shaka, when the walls fell." And Picard said STFU, and then Paul said, "You've no need for your weapons with me, Gurney Halleck," and then he kissed some guy who sucked all of his lifeforce out, and thanks to the Ghost of Christmas Future, he never caught Moby Dick.

It was a pretty vague memory. I may have been drunk at the time.

5. Well, he after Moby Dick while he was in that wheelchair, tht's the problem.
You can't go on the open ocean in a wheelchair. Especially not when Gandalf is doing weird shit with metals all up in his face like that.

6. And he should have told Troi to get him some coffee.
Might as well throw some chauvanism in there too.

7. The next best thing
...is that Patrick Stewart is a semi-regular on "American Dad!" as Stan's boss at the CIA. He is not only drawn like him, but gets to say all kinds of un-PC things.

10. Yes - and Stewart always sounds like he's totally absorbed in the fun of the outrageousness!
He comes across as really, really loving that role.

That character as Picard would have been a scream!

That's a Star Trek revamping I could actually back.

11. That would've worked perfectly with the episode "Up the Long Ladder"
That entire episode was an atrocious clusterfuck of cartoonish ethnic stereotypes - I guess somehow 22nd century Irish colonists somehow managed to regress to a Swiftian pig-fucking parody of themselves. Ah, early season TNG, where the message of tolerance was so often diluted by hilariously inappropriate late-80s casual prejudice (Code of Honor, I'm also looking at you).

"regress to a swiftian pig-fucking parody of themselves" has me laughing out loud in my office!
