1. "Rally Round the Flag Boys" in high school
"South Pacific" in HS was lousy, too.

4. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance in London
:evilfrown:

Lamest ass piece of shit I've ever seen on any stage anywhere. I don't remember why we didn't try harder to get tickets to anything else. What a stinker!

6. My mom's production of Annie
Edited on Mon Feb-22-10 10:56 PM by bookworm65t
I don't care for Annie anyway, but a few years ago my mom was in the chorus of a local production. It was held in an outdoor theater. So I sat on a bleacher near a guy who looked like a vagrant. Next thing I know I discovered that he had urinated on the bench and that it had soaked my purse and jeans. He had gotten up in a hurry, no wonder.

I had to cut the performance early because of that. I know that my mom's feelings were hurt, not only because of my early leave-taking, but because other family members didn't bother to support her. I do feel bad for not watching the whole show, but I was too uncomfortable to continue.

8. The Beard - Edinburgh Festival - 1971
Just awful! Jean Harlow and Billy the Kid confront each other in a blue velvet eternity.

Jean: "Before you can pry any secrets from me, you must first find the real me! Which one will you pursue?"

Billy: "Sit on my lap and kiss my boots, and I don't mean boots"

Those were the opening lines, I think. It got worse.

10. An adaptation of Bram Stoker's "Dracula" in southern Oregon in 1997.
Edited on Tue Feb-23-10 04:17 AM by BlueIris
Painfully, embarrassingly bad. I could not wait for it to end, and various people in the audience were visibly trying to hold back laughter. Ticket prices were way up there, too. After that, I never went to a play I didn't read at least one review for.
