good? Extended warranty thing from Best Buy. Had the original for 2 years and the lemon law went into effect through an extended warranty.

1. hdtv is worth it

make sure that you get your guns realigned before your warrenty is up though so you get your money's worth. You have to call them and say that your picture isn't as good as it used to be, they will come out and realign the guns. If you call up and tell them to just come out and realign the guns they will tell you that that service isn't covered, so that's why you have to say that the picture isn't as good as it used to be. it's all the way the agreement is written (it's all in lawyer speek)

Check out the brand specific forum for your set.Also after the break-in become a paid spotie so you can get the tweaks for your set. They make a huge difference. Most HDTV are about 50% out of the box with the tweaks you can get the picture to about 85%. Also very very important turn the contrast/picture setting down immediately! If it is scaled 1-100 try to use somewhere between 30-50% max. This will help avoid burn-in and increase life of set. Most sets are at full contrast from the factory. Make sure and check the spot for great info!

The box is being delivered Tuesday and I'll have 30 days to stew on it. I'm going to have to rearrange my center channel to accomidate the lower profile, but I hope it's worth it.

5. It is so worth it!

Once you do the tweaks and the set is broke-in it will blow you away! The only problem I have is watching non-HD programing. Its like dial-up vs braodband. You can never go back!
