I have always been of the opinion that many groups (not necessarily individuals) that claim to be Muslim simultaneously hold many views that are fundamentally un-Muslim.

the logical equivalent. Muslim is to Hebrew what Islamic is to Jewish. Many people will interchange Muslim and Islam, and Hebrew and Jewish, but it doesn't make it right.

Muslim is to Hebrew what Islamic is to Jewish. Many people will interchange Muslim and Islam, and Hebrew and Jewish, but it doesn't make it right.

A Muslim is an adherent of Islam: Muslim is the person, Islam/Islamic is the religion - is that what you mean, or am I missing something more subtle?

Which was referencing an earlier post of mine, so that could be the only subtle point you missed. My point being that the comparison that she was making has to be between Islam and Christianity, not Muslims and Christians.

In point of fact, the adherents of ANY organised system of thought, belief and practise form a cult. The Catholic Church is a cult. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a cult. The Republican party is a cult. And so on and so forth.
