the sunlight fades
all is obscure

too soon the sun is gone
I wanted it to stay

Have you always wanted to write poetry, or is this something you've grown into? I ask, because my mother was a gifted artist and had won a scholarship to Chicago, but her parents insisted she become a nurse, which she did. Later, after I was born, she returned to art.

I used to be published in a little mag called "Philadelphia Poets"...I have not been able to find any information on it in years. Sad to see them go, but there are usually new ones coming along to take their place.
