12. Yeah ... but only the Art Of Noise version ...
has those electronic vocalized "dum dum dum dum dum" moments and other assorted vocal edit weirdness thrown in.

Plus... a video for the song featuring Rick Mayall from The Young Ones.

I voted for AON even though just for the happiness it brought me in the 80s, but in truth Duane Eddy's version is the best.

21. Duane Eddie played on the AON version IIRC.
Who can forget the start of it? Booow dow dow Booow dow dow Booow dow dow.

I still like the Blues Brothers version better, though. Blue Lou Marini kicked the shit out of his solo.

ELP was one of the most insufferably dull bands ever to step into a recording studio! :boring:

20. Those are fighting words...
ELP was one of the most insufferably dull bands ever to step into a recording studio!

ELP was more often than not pretentious, bombastic, and self-indulgent, but rarely boring...

-SM, likes their version of Peter Gunn

Off-topic, but had to ask.

You should hear Buchanan's version. He was a monster guitarist like Eddy.
