I'll toast one of the bagels in my fridge and hit it with a little cream cheese

1. Is this a Dunkin Donuts thing?
I went this morning and they asked if I wanted a free donut...I figured maybe they were stale, but then I remembered they don't actually bake donuts, they have them shipped in...no thanks. Remember when donut shops smelled like fresh baked donuts?

3. Get Plump And Hyper, It's National (Free) Doughnut Day
As if it weren't awesome enough that today is Friday, you can also cruise around from doughnut shop to doughnut shop and get free goodies. You'll know whether or not your doughnut shop is participating in National Doughnut Day depending on whether or not they call the cops on you after you make off with a free sugary delights, conspicuously shaped like the spare tires that'll emerge around your gut if you munch too many.

Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts are both in on the event, although the latter is getting all diva-like and demanding you buy a coffee in order to procure your free doughnut. Krispy Kreme is doing things right, letting you get just a little bit chunkier and happier with no purchase necessary.

4. Google maps says...
it's a 13.2 mile round trip.

Google calculator says...

(2.95 * 13.2) / 32 = 1.216875 dollars for a solitary "free" donut.

I'll pass.
