But they don't have bananas printed on them, which is a big no-no. :scared:

otherwise it's just 'tweep-tweep-tweep.' But I dunno, all I ever played, years and years ago was the recorder and the jaw harp. And not even good. ;)

37. LOL!
There was another thing, a percussion thing, two wooden sticks you banged together in the rhythm. Unless you had no feeling for any rhythm, nothing could go wrong with these. I don't know its name, two thick sticks. One you hold in your hand (kind of on top of your fingers,) and the other one to bang on it.

38. I remember them
But I don't remember what they're called either.

The teacher gave us all different kinds of percussion instruments, triangles, tambourines, wood blocks, bells etc. Then she dressed us in organ grinder monkey costumes and we proceeded to make an awful racket at the school talent program. It was perfectly awful!

40. Claves (clah' vays)
.
When I sang with the band, I would sometimes play them -- one of mine
was hollow, and it not only amplified the sound (like a guitar sounding
hole), but I could cover/uncover it and produce two different tones --
if I amember correctly, I could slowly cover and uncover the hole while
playing them and create a subtle rising and/or falling scale).
.
I could not sing AND play them at the same time though -- not even a
simple 4-count beat.
.
Sing.

27. If only the most talented birds sang, the forest would be pretty quiet
"For centuries, music was an integral part of our lives. All of us played music or knew someone who did," Coleman says. "Then, at the beginning of the 20th century, the record player came along and all of a sudden we weren't good enough. We were encouraged to listen, to be passive listeners. And I think that we lost something very fundamental to our souls: making music together."
