10. I was able to stop it outside the hall of my classroom.

I teach high school, so we don't see much of that. But a couple of man-childs started hitting each other's nuts in the hall outside my room. When I caught one doing it, I marched him into my classroom, which was in full progress, and called his father on the phone, which is located right next to the front chalkboard.

When I got his dad on the line, in front of the other students, I said in a clear unemotional voice, "Mr. X, I have a problem with your son grabbing other students' penises around school." The class was laughing, so I waved them quiet. The dad didn't understand, which gave me the opportunity to ask the whole class, "Can someone tell me the appropriate way to say 'penis' in Spanish?" Then, when we got the translation done, I finished, "So, Mr. X, while I have your son here, can I have you talk to him and tell him to keep his hands off of other people's penises?"

That kid was utterly humiliated. I felt equal parts proud, sadistic, and guilt-ridden. But the behavior stopped.

21. Never Understood it Personally

When I was younger and this was going on, I would let the people around me know that smacking me in the nuts would instantly cause their nose to bleed. One guy "called my bluff" and was an example to everyone else that I was not bluffing.

I don't know what it is about boys and inflicting pain on each other. I grew up "in the country" and we didn't have nintendo or cable. We would get bored and go outside and fight for fun.

i told him about threads on du adn men saying from beginning of time. he reiterated, no. he never experienced.

and yes, he was bothered that this has become a fad. he had glanced at an article earlier and was surprised/disgusted

Granted its been a few decades, but we used to have a game called "cup test" on the baseball field. If you caught a guy not paying attention, you would wack him in that part of the body and yell out "cup check." Since it was not limited only to games, there were often times when there was not a cup present, then a lot of crying and joking.
