I read that somewhere in one of the later books in the series there was a real reason why Bill Compton returned to Bon Temp and took up with Sookie. Now we know. And when she finds out she'll be taking up with Eric in a snap (how can you say 'no' to him).

It was great to see Godric again, even if it was just a flashback. Oh Godric, we hardly knew ya!

1. It was sweet

I gathered from Bill's talk with the King that the Queen sent him to Bon Temp to investigate Sookie. He had her family tree in that file. I suspect its more of "what sookie is" because in the preview for the new season they replayed Bill, Marianne and Eric asking her what she is. Sookie will be pissed when she finds out, but I'm not sure she can ever really trust Erik, especially after getting played by Bill. Erik/Sookie will be far more sexual and based on each other needing and taking from the other. Bill seemed to be real love. Thats fine with me, anything that gets Anna Paquin naked on screen is fine with me. Plus, Erik is just so freaking cool.
I think Godric will make appearances from time to time. He is one of the most powerful vampires ever. It would be a waste not to show him using those powers.
