1. depends on the type, fries like in the pic i'd say salt and vinegar
Edited on Fri Jul-09-10 02:21 AM by miscsoc
although actually i prefer cheap clear "non brewed condiment" to malt vinegar on chunky chips like in that pic

mmm those do look like motherfucking tasty chips though

4. Well, unless they are Snuffer's Cheddar Fries, then Catch Up is the best.
IF they are Snuffer's Cheddar Fries, one should eat them with jalapenos and chives, and of course cheddar, dipped in ranch dressing. NO BACON!!!!

Glad I could help you.

even though I prefer chunky. Bad luck I guess for me :)

I try to cut back on ketchup but it has to go with the fries for me.

13. The best chippy I have been to has been in Anstruther
The "Wee Chippy"

as opposed to the more famous Anstruther fish bar down the road, which probably has better fish but slightly inferior chips. Or is it the other way round? I haven't been there in years.

Fries drizzled with white truffle oil, add crumpled Gorgonzola, a bit of diced garlic and a bit of lemon zest...

Enjoy with a nice red wine and POW!

28. depends
I despise ketchup and mustard so those are out of the question.

Good ways I've eaten fries.

Pizza fries-- plate of fries with tomato sauce and mozarella on it.--- it's a meal at a diner (and I have not had them in years and typing this makes me crave them)

Back when I ate fast food, I'd always get chicken with sweet and sour sauce. Also a good sauce to dip fries in. Honey is also good for that.

And when I go to restaurants and get a chicken caesar salad wrap, I ask for extra dressing on the side to dip the fries in.

36. Pizza fires are something different where I went to College...
In Central Wisconin, when one refers to Pizza Fries, one is talking about pizza dough rolled out, brushed with either garlic butter or garlic oil, topped with shredded cheese (Usually brick mozzerella) and is baked and served with marinara sauce for dipping.

That's heaven right there.

33. Other: it depends on what kind of fries they are.
Steak fries taste awesome with barbecue sauce. The long skinny fries like McDonald's sells are best piping hot with nothing on them, save perhaps some garlic powder. Proper chips want malt vinegar. Excessively salty fries want ketchup. And so on.

I like chili on fries sometimes; it's my topping of choice for waffle fries.

43. I always tell my dieting friends that “salsa is your friend"
You can eat things like potatoes if you put salsa on them because a good hot, chunky salsa burns more calories digesting it than you get from eating it. Also I have this theory that it ups your metabolism

52. Absolutely ALL the above (except steak sauce... blecch).
.
My favorite is a separate dollop of ketchup and a separate dollop of mayo --
and alternate between the two.
.
.
.
My favorite local BBQ joint serves "Dirty Fries" -- topped with your choice
of meat and cheese -- cheap, filling, bad for you... and MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
.
