5 of your favorite singer/songwriters:
Please post 5 of your favorite singer/songwriters. They don’t have to be your top 5, just 5 you love and want to share.

Singer/songwriter = any genre, any instrumentation, solo or with band, but the singer is the primary songwriter.

1. Kristin Hersh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRoqCBlzKhg
2. Neil Young: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCElUItrLZc

21. This is the very first song...
...my son ever heard. My husband put it on in the car on the way home from the hospital.

I realize this was post Scott, but AC/DC remains one of my son's favorite bands. His favotite song is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_t5GPbp5IY

He's 6 and he thinks they're singing "Dirty Dees and the Dunder Cheese."

The first big rock concerts I ever saw was AC/DC at the Rosemont Horizon for the Back in Black tour.

Edited on Sat Nov-27-10 08:18 PM by rbnyc
...but she was truly horrible.

Her mom, Gordon Lightfoot's sister, was very much absent. There were 3 kids in the house, all with different absent fathers. "J", my friend was a serious bully. I somehow always made friends with the bully, which was the cause of great angst because I was not a toady. I stood up to her all the time - a life on Jr. High strife. I eventually dumped her, after she stole a radio from my dad. I went and retrieved it and "broke up" with her for good. She tormented me for several years.

I did find it very interesting that she had this famous and successful uncle. She resented him.
