HOW can the season finale of Boardwalk Empire already be here?
What will Angela's fate be?

Will Agent van Alden repent?

Will Richard kill all the d'Allessios (name?)

and WHAT will Margaret do?

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

1. No kidding. That went fast.
Margaret seems like the perfect mob moll; I think she'll be back, with a vengeance.

and Creepy van Alden should just off himself.

4. Go, Margaret!
I like her. She was quite naive, but she caught on fast.

Did you think Nucky was gonna clock her in the last episode? I did. But that would've been too predictable. Like Nucky told Eli, that's not who he is.

God, am I into this show? Jeez, bertha, get a grip...

2. You know, I hope HBO runs this first season again because there are so many characters

to learn! Plus, I'd just like to watch it a second time.

Angela will probably find out that her girlfriend was forced to go out of the country by her boyfriend before she got a chance to tell Angela. I don't think she duped Angela.

Agent van Alden is mentally unsound & I wonder if he'll be going to a mental hospital (hopefully, there's a more appealing actor who will be taking his place; isn't the timeline ready for Eliot Ness?).

The d'Allessios -- weren't two of them murdered by Chalky & another guy in that warehouse? They let one get away so that he could tell his boss about it? There's probably going to be a major turf war.

I'm wondering what Margaret will do, too. She's too smart & likeable to be written out of the show. Maybe she squirreled away a large sum of money & will go on her own? Use it to better herself for a formidable position to become one of Nookie's political foes?

And what do you think about Dabney Coleman's character being poisoned with arsenic? Looks like Jimmy's mother did it, looking at the previews. But did you notice in last week's episode that DC's maid tried to take away the biscuits after he offered Jimmy one? Maybe she's in cahoots with whoever tried to kill him.

Don't you love this show? It ended too soon for me, too.

3. I think Nucky paid the maid to poison the Commodore

And I hope you're right about Angela's lover.

I think something more is in store for Agent van Alden. I think that actor is remarkable and for him to be written out would be a big loss.

HBO has to re-run it.

5. The guy they let get away was Meyer Lansky, though there is
still another D'Allessio out there.

I'm not sure who I think was poisoning the Commodore. I did notice that about the maid and the biscuits.

I hope that's true about Angela's girlfriend but I'm not certain. I wonder if maybe she loves him too.

9. I really do believe Angela's gf was forced to leave without being able to tell her.
When the new season starts, I think she'll get in touch with Angela to explain why she left so suddenly.

13. I think Margret took Annabell's money when she was planning to leave.
Annabelle told her about the almost $5000 stash when they were getting to know each other in the concubine's apartments. That last argument between Nucky and her was pretty much controlled by her, and looked to be set up as an excuse for her to just up and leave without being followed.

She could have easily taken the boat to Europe that Angela was planning to escape on and set up her family fairly comfortably for a few years in GB or Ireland while she got her feet back under her.

Her character was supposed to be based on a real Atlantic City situation in the book (which I admit I haven't read yet). And after the shooting on the boardwalk, I can easily see her wanting to leave quickly - and a chunk of cash like that could see her in a safe place where nobody will know her past.

14. Wow, that's a key point about Annabelle's money that I totally missed.
I remember Annabelle telling Margaret about the money, & I'm just now remembering that Annabelle's money went missing. Margaret plays her part so well, I didn't suspect for a moment she would have taken it. Being a widow with two small children, plus being worried about her security, she's proving to be very shrewd. She's probably going to be a major player?

Thanks for your insight. Now I'm wanting to read the book (I could buy 2 copies for my husband & myself as Christmas presents & we could read them at the same time before the next season starts!).

6. there's another season in the works?
I thought this was the end.

Okay, I have a question for all you fans. Do you think that Jimmy forgave his partner for running away with her lover? Or what? I was afraid of violence in that scene, and it didn't come.

10. Jimmy looked like he was finished with Angela. He talked to/dealt with his son only,
totally ignoring Angela. Looks like he might force her to leave through the silent treatment or by kicking her out. I think as far as he thinks, she was having an affair with the photographer.

7. I absolutely love that show!
It seems like it just started. It's hard to believe it's almost over already. And I'm finally starting to keep track of the characters (not completely, but almost--there are so many characters).

I'm concerned about Angela. You never know what Jimmy is going to do. I was shocked by the way he beat the shit out of the man he thought his wife was having an affair with.

Agent van Alden is batshit crazy.

I'm glad there are others here who like the show, too.
