What's the proper term for those little flotation things you put on little kid's arms
Edited on Sun Dec-05-10 05:05 PM by WilliamPitt
when they go into the pool?

My mom called them "Swimmies." I've heard them called "Water Wings."

That sounds right, but is there a better word(s) for them?

Thanks.

13. No
Needed the term for my next article.

---

Sure, the president and his crew can claim some moments of success here and there, but the overall picture being painted thus far is that of an administration hopelessly in over its head, bereft of direction and integrity, drowning like a bunch of toddlers who wandered into the deep end of the pool without their water wings.

---

...so I needed to get it right.

:)

26. Floaties or water wings
In context, I like "water wings"--makes for some nice alliteration with "wandered" and "without". :hi:

22. Either "anvils" or "cinder blocks". That what I put on kids before tossing them in the water.
